MillTechFX is now ISO27001 Certified

Many hours go into ensuring that we maintain the highest security standards so that our customers can be confident whilst using our platform, and we are very excited to be finally ISO27001 certified! Find out what ISO27001 is, how we became certified, and what it means for our customers.

Who are they?

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental international organisation with a membership of 167 national standards bodies who’s aim it is to support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. The ISO27001 standard set by the ISO defines how an organisation should safely manage information security. This standard covers all aspects of how an organisation operates in the ‘online’ world and is quintessential to companies who deal with sensitive data.

This is why MillTechFX made receiving an ISO27001 certification a top priority to achieve by the end of Q1 2022.

How does it work?

Obtaining the ISO27001 certification is no small task. Hundreds of hours have gone into ensuring MillTechFX meet the rigorous requirements. It was very important to us that we didn’t just do what we needed to pass, but to go above and beyond in our security practices to ensure our customers can have high confidence in our platform and MillTechFX as a whole.

We went over all of our processes, procedures and policies with a fine-tooth comb to ensure the highest standards are met. Everything was considered, from physical security to encryption, from HR security to equipment disposal. If there could be even the smallest security concern, we have covered it!

Advanced vulnerability scanning tools trusted by the likes of Google, Salesforce and Amazon have also been adopted into our continuous workflows to ensure our platform is tightly locked down and not susceptible to attack. We even developed our own custom backup methodology to ensure the absolute maximum possible standards for data security and redundancy in a cloud environment.

The list doesn’t stop there either.

We are committed to the review and renewal of our ISO27001 certification each year. 2021 had the highest average cost in data breaches coming in at $4.24M USD, so its important we do this to ensure best-in-class security for our customers, and an ISO27001 certification proves just that.
